Tello EDU is a programmable and ultra-light mini UAV that can reach heights of up to 30 m and perform remarkable acrobatic movements. Flips, loops... this flying robot is no shrinking violet! You can control it from your iPad using the dedicated Tello app or a compatible Bluetooth controller. You can manage up to four DJI Tello EDU drones simultaneously, ideal for creating your very own air brigade.

The Tello educational drone comes with everything a budding programmer will need. There is a Swift Playgrounds app with an intuitive interface that will help you learn the first principles of robotics and the Swift programming language. This means you get a Tello “Scratch” UAV that you can program by moving control blocks according to what you want it to do. The Tello Space Travel tutorial will help you as you take your first steps with Swift so that you can quickly start flying your drone.

Advanced Tello EDU programming functions

Once you're familiar with the different control modes that you can program using Swift or Scratch, you can then up your game by carrying out flight missions with Mission Pads. These cards have their own unique ID and can be integrated into your code. When the UAV flies over them, it can carry out programmed actions by following the different flight coordinates.

And that's not all – you can also explore all the possibilities offered by the Tello EDU video camera and teach your drone how to recognize objects or interpret your actions. In addition, the SDK 2.0 provided with Tello gives you access to AI development, 3D reconstruction, visual serving and computer learning functions.
